ArcticStore Ultrafreezer
We have supplied UltraFreezers since 2014 and these operated as low as -65°C/-85°F. Our 2020 model was designed to meet the initial -80°C/-112°F requirements of the Pfizer BioNTech CV-19 vaccine.
The 2020 model, as shown here, includes extra insulation in all parts of the container. We increased the external height to accommodate the reduced aperture for the refrigeration machine.
Whilst many are in use for vaccine-related applications others are in use in Bio and Life Sciences as well as in the tuna industry.
Built for storing and transporting safely products which are at their best when sustained at ultra-low temperatures, the UltraFreezer's versatility suits a variety of products including Tuna and other seafood, pharmaceuticals, cultures, vaccines, and medicines.
For many years this niche product operated between -40° and -65°C. With the 2020 model <-65°C/-85°F is a new option. If you need to operate at below these temperatures performance is related to actual environment and ambient temperatures.
Refrigeration for ultra-low temperatures
Whilst looking similar to our standard refrigeration this unit packs immense power and effect.
Working with two compressors the second compressor reduces further the temperature of the refrigerant to take refrigeration below -40°C/-40°F.

Traditional but modified door
In order to reduce even further air leakage, we employ a traditional-looking container door with two locking mechanisms in our 2020 model.
For workplace safety, an interior only opening escape hatch is placed adjacent to the door.
Earlier models feature traditional double doors and a few feature a single full-width door.
A different interior but remains hygienic and safe
To compensate for material shrinkage at extremely low temperatures standard stainless steel and aluminium panels are replaced with aluminium chequer plates.
Internal lighting and ISO standard day-glow emergency and user information signage. Easy to operate escape hatch as well man-trapped alarm.
There is a special material air curtain due to extremely low temperatures.
